What is the U660E?
The U660E is a six-speed automatic built by Aisin for transverse Toyota and Lexus V6 models, introduced in the mid-2000s with the 3.5 L 2GR engine. The U660F is the all-wheel-drive version and the U661E a later variant. The four-cylinder U760E is a close relative and shares some solenoids and internal parts.
Most shift complaints come from the valve body: the linear shift solenoids wear and the bores become scored, giving harsh or flared shifts. The usual fix is a solenoid set or a complete valve body with solenoids, followed by a fluid change with Toyota ATF WS.

U660E questions
01Is the U660E the same as the U760E?
No. The U660E is built for the 3.5 L V6 and the U760E for 2.5 L four-cylinder engines. Some solenoids and internal parts are shared, but valve bodies and complete gearboxes do not interchange. Send the number on your old part and we confirm.
02Solenoids or the whole valve body?
If one or two solenoids have failed and the bores are clean, a solenoid set is enough. If shifts stay harsh after new solenoids, or the bores are worn, choose a complete valve body with solenoids.
03Is a reset needed after repair?
Yes. Clear the learned shift values with a Toyota-capable scan tool after valve body or solenoid work, then fill with Toyota ATF WS to the correct level.
04What is the minimum order and warranty?
One piece. Warranty depends on the part and condition and is written on your quotation.
