What is the DL501?
The DL501 is the first-generation 7-speed S tronic for longitudinal engines, introduced in 2008 and rated up to about 550 Nm. It was fitted to Audi's mid-size and large models with 2.0 TFSI, 3.0 TFSI and 3.0 TDI engines, mostly with quattro.
Mechatronic failures are the main issue: warning lights, harsh shifts, lost gears or no reverse, often from internal component failure, debris-worn solenoids or corrosion at the mechatronic connector.

FAQ
DL501 questions
01Which TCU numbers fail most?
Repair specialists list 0B5927256B, 0B5927256D, 0B5927256F, 0B5927156D and 0B5927156E among the units that fail. Always match the exact number and software version of your old unit.
02Is component protection an issue?
Yes. A replacement mechatronic often stores component protection codes that must be cleared online with the Audi dealer tool, then basic settings run.
03Do you supply clutches and filters too?
Yes: wet dual clutch assemblies, filter 0B5325429E and sensor removal tools. Change fluid and filter whenever the mechatronic or clutch is replaced.
04What is the minimum order and warranty?
One piece. Warranty depends on the part and condition and is written on your quotation.
